Drain Tile Installation & Basement Seepage Prevention in Chicago, IL
Madden Sewer & Drain provides seepage and drain tile system repairs and installations for Chicagoland area. A drain tile system is needed when rainwater saturates the ground and begins to seep into your basement. The drain pipe is installed inside or outside the house at your foundation’s footing. A filter covers the pipe to keep debris out but allows water to leak into it. A pump pit and sump pump are then installed for the groundwater to run into. The pipe is covered in river rock, and concrete is poured back at the foundation wall. The pump can be discharged into a sewer line or away from the building.
Dimple boards are installed with a seepage pipe to ensure water coming from walls is directed into the drain tile system. We also repair foundation cracks with epoxy and resin.

Seepage & Drain Tile FAQs
What is a seepage pipe/drain tile?
Seepage pipe is perforated pipe installed around the perimeter of a building’s foundation to collect excessive groundwater. The pipe leads to a pump pit which is then discharged into another drain or outside of basement.
Do you repair cracks in foundation walls?
Yes, we use an epoxy and resin sealant to fill in cracks and prevent future seepage issues.
What is dimple board?
Dimple board is a HDPE material used to help direct groundwater into seepage pipe. It is applied along the walls down to the seepage pipe
Does drain tile require maintenance?
We suggest annual maintenance of the pump pit, but this is not a requirement.
