Expert Hydro Jetting Services in Chicago, IL

We Can Clear Your Clogged & Slow Drains

At some point, every homeowner deals with slow or clogged drains and sewers. Over time, your pipeline may accumulate minerals, grease, and other debris. In addition, other objects may become lodged in drains and toilets. This can include tree roots that break through the pipes.

Madden Sewer & Drain specializes in opening and clearing drain lines. The most common and effective way to do this is with hydro jetting or electric rodding.

What is Hydro Jetting?

Hydro jetting is an advanced technique plumbers use to clear and clean out sewer lines and drains using high-pressure water. This method involves directing a powerful stream of water through specialized nozzles to remove stubborn blockages, grease buildup, tree roots, and other debris that can restrict the flow in your drain pipes.

Unlike methods like snaking or electric rodding, hydro jetting not only clears clogs but also scours the interior walls of the pipes, leaving them clean and free of residue. It is an eco-friendly and highly effective solution for maintaining your plumbing system, especially for recurring obstructions or heavily used commercial drains.

Though it is an effective approach, hydro jetting is not always the best solution for the problem depending on the type of clog or break in the pipe.

Hydro Jetting vs. Rodding for Drain Cleaning

Like hydrojetting, sewer rodding is a professional technique used by plumbers to clear blockages and debris from sewer lines and drain pipes.

During the plumbing service appointment, the technician will identify the root cause of the issue and inform you of which drain cleaning service options are available for your situation and give a recommendation on which type of machine is best for the job.

Hydro Jetting FAQs

Our team is very experienced in both residential and commercial projects with an attention to detail that guarantees client satisfaction.
What is hydro jetting?

Jet rodding is a high pressure (1,500 to 4,000 PSI) jetting method that uses water to clear sewer lines.

How does hydro jetting work?

A specialized nozzle at the end of the hose is designed to spray water to dislodge, loosen and remove roots, grease and other debris found in sewer lines. The high volume of water also leads to debris being flushed from the sewer line.

What are the benefits of hydro jetting vs. electric rodding?

The jet rod has multi directional cleaning capability, more power and is able to flush and remove grease and debris from sewer lines.  Electric rods and other machines can cut up tree roots and other debris, but don’t necessarily remove the debris from the line.
