Overhead Sewer Systems can be the best way to waterproof your home in some cases. The basic way the system works is to raise your sewer line higher than the water level in the city sewer can ever reach. By doing this, all basement drains will now run into a pump pit. The 2" ejector pump will discharge basement waste water above and drop into overhead system. The start of the overhead sewer will have a clean out installed for future access to main sewer line. Cast iron piping will be installed through foundation wall to connect to main sewer line. From there the line will run to the city sewer and connect somewhere in the street.
