Frequently Asked Questions

Water is coming up from my floor drains in my basement, what's going on?
The odds are your Main Sewer Line is backed up.  The only way to fix this is to rod out the sewer line.  If your basement has an overhead sewer, something is wrong with the pump.

Why does our basement flood  during heavy rains?
In most situations, there are (3) reasons why you have water in your basement during heavy rain.
1.  You have a total or partial blockage in your main sewer line and the volume of water from downspouts and outside floor drains is too much for the pipe to handle.  If this is the case, rodding the main sewer line could correct the problem.
2.  The city sewer can not handle the volume of water.  Once the water level in the city sewer system raises to the level of your basement drains it will start to come up in your basement.  A backwater valve, flood control, or overhead sewer system is needed in this case.
3.  Ground water will begin to cause seepage from the floor or foundation.  In most cases, drain tile is needed to correct the problem.  However, sometimes foundation cracks are the problem and need to be sealed.

What do we do if water is backing up in a single drain (sink, toilet, floor drain, etc)?
Most times if water is backing up in only one drain in the house, that specific branch line needs to be rodded.  Kitchen sink lines generally run to a Main Sink Line and can be rodded from the sink or the Main Sink Line pipe in your catch basin.  Bathroom sinks, showers, and tubs should connect directly to the toilet stack in the same bathroom and can be rodded from the specific drain backing up or the toilet line.  If a single floor drain is backing up, the problem is generally in the drain line for the floor drain before it connects to the Main Sewer Line.

How can payment be made?
We accept cash, credit (Visa and MasterCard), debit, and checks for our service.  Payment plans can be made with Shaun Madden.

How do I setup a PDP?
In order to schedule a PDP, we have to conact the City Inspector Dept. and schedule a time that we, the inspector, and the home owner can all make.  It usually takes 24-48 hours for the city to schedule a date and time.

How are jobs priced?
All work is priced by the job, not by the hour.  Each job is different and so there is different price.  The price will always be given before any work is done.
